One of the most popular questions asked, is “are there discounts on shuttles or charters to Breckenridge”. Some companies offer them and some do not. You should compare the discounted prices carefully to make sure that you are getting the best deal. Many times more expensive companies will offer discounted rates however they are still more than other companies base fares. It’s important to do your research as we will tell you every time. We can do the research for you and get you booked on the best deal for your needs. It’s another one of the advantages to using our website versus booking directly with companies. Shoot us an email and we can explore options for yourself and/or your group. Discounts can range anywhere from as small as 1% all the way up to 30% depending on the time of year. It’s rare for charter companies to offer more than 30%. Typical discounts are usually 5%, 10%, and 15%. 20% is quite high, but it’s possible.

You need to make sure you choose the options that is best suited for your groups experience. Just because it’s the cheapest does not mean it’s the best option for getting to Breckenridge. Granted, price is very important, however don’t let $50-$100 ruin your trip to and from the hill. Making sure you get the best deal and choice for your group whether it be a rental suv or private charter is really important. Hope this helped you understand the discount system for chartered transfers to Breckenridge and the surrounding areas.

The Colorado Ski Areas

You come to Colorado to visit the mountains, ski, bike, and be outdoors. One awesome fact about Colorado is that there are over twenty resorts from Crested Butte to Aspen to Beaver Creek to Keystone Colorado, it’s what makes Colorado – Colorado.

Why Go With Colorado

One of the main benefits to doing a vacation in Colorado is that you can spread out and visit multiple resorts in one trip. This way you can get a taste of more than just one flavor. With so many choices it can be tough to pick which resort you want. If you want to visit multiple ski areas in one trip, you want to start by picking an area rather than a resort.

Listed Below are various areas of ski resorts. Keep in mind since different companies own different resorts your lift tickets may not transfer from resort to resort

Common Transportation Routes

Summit County – Breckenridge, Keystone, and Copper Mountain

Eagle County – Vail, Beaver Creek

Pitkin County – Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, Aspen Highlands

Gunnison County – Crested Butte

Routt County – Steamboat Springs

Picking an area helps limit travel and transfer times between resorts. If you pick resorts that are related than you can transfer your lift tickets. In Pitkin county, Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands are all related. Vail Resorts owns all the resorts in Summit and Eagle County except for Copper Mountain and Arapahoe basin. Crested Butte is quite isolated however can well worth the trip to avoid the crowds and ski some serious terrain. Steamboat is isolated as well, but is not too far from Summit and Eagle County (it’s about two hours by car).

Listed below are some common route times (times can vary with weather and traffic ).

Average Transportation Times

Summit to Eagle County – 40 to 60 minutes

Summit to Pitkin County – 3 hours

Summit to Routt County – 1 hour and 45 minutes

Eagle to Pitkin County – 2 hours and 30 minutes

Routt County to Eagle County – 2 hours

Again, these are just a couple of common routes, there are obviously many more. Without a rental car it can be tough to get between these areas since there is no shared shuttle or bus service. You must go with a private car or shuttle. Prices for these private shuttles varies depending on your needs and season, but considering the length of time they range anywhere from $100 all the way up to $400 + each way. The more miles and farther the distance, the higher the cost.

Keystone to Vail and Beaver Creek

If you are planning a trip to Summit or Eagle county you can hire a private shuttle or rent a car to get you from one county to the next. To get from Keystone to Vail or Beaver Creek to Keystone, you can hire a shuttle to take you and your group. The travel time between these two destinations is not severe unless weather comes into play.

Copper Mountain to Vail and Beaver Creek

As with getting from Keystone to Vail or from Breckenridge to Vail, getting to Beaver Creek is about the same distance. Since Copper Mountain is located right off of I-70 before Vail Pass, travel time will be shorter from here to Beaver Creek or Vail. With a rental car you simply hop on I-70 and take it until Avon. If you need to hire a shuttle they will pick you up at your chosen times and transfer your group to Eagle County (Vail – Beaver Creek).

On a good day Steamboat Springs is about one hour and forty minutes from Breckenridge. The road between these two resorts is in the mountains so weather has a large effect on travel time. It is one lane at many times and you need be prepared for mountain and winter driving. Snow tires are a big help in the winter if you will be doing this drive. Make sure and check weather conditions before departing, road closures do happen.

Whoa! I’m in Breckenridge..Why should I spend the dough and go to Vail? Are you serious? First of all the cost is not that different from Breckenridge. Both Breckenridge and Vail are owned by Vail resorts so they have very similar lift ticket prices. That settles, the “how much” questions. But why? Vail is one of the world’s largest ski resorts, with over four thousand acres of in bounds skiable terrain. In a word, it’s huge! The village has a very different feel than Breckenridge and can be a nice change of scenery. Vail being close to Breckenridge, can offer a special day for you, your group, and your family.

They may look close on our map, however these two cities are actually a little ways due to the mountain driving. On average a traveler should expect about a forty to fifty minute trip from Breckenridge to Vail and vice versa. This is not that far of a distance if you would like to visit both resorts during your ski or mountain trip. Please don’t forget that travel time does change depending on weather. Snowy roads can make this trip much longer.

If you already have a rental car and are set on driving then getting from Breckenridge to Vail is fairly simple, just hop in and roll. You may want to check the road and weather conditions first, but other than that you’re pretty set. If you don’t mind sharing a ride, you can look for a shared shuttle bus that will take you over. Keep in mind you will be on their set times so make sure you make them. If you want a little more flexibility with times you can use services like Powderhound Transportation which provide around resort transfers as well as airport shuttles.

Rates will vary on shuttle buses, private transfers, and rentals depending on season. Rentals usually run at least $100/day, shared rides start around $20/person, and private rides vary depending on what you’re looking for. If you have a group of 3 or more you many times snag a good deal on chartering your transportation from Vail to Breckenridge.

Good Places to Check for Shuttles from Breckenridge to Vail

Summit Stage – They offer bus service around Summit County however can be helpful when trying to move around

Avis Rental Car – If you’re thinking about renting, Avis is not a bad choice

Powderhound Transportation – They mainly provide airport shuttle services, however do offer charter services from Vail to Breckenridge as well

Eagle County – Check in with the folks in Vail to see what their opinion is on the matter

Feel free to send us a post or email as well and we will gladly assist.

When you land, all you are thinking about is the amazing time you are about to have in Copper Mountain, not the crowded and uncomfortable ride that you could suffer through with other companies! Check with us first and can assist in making sure you get there on time, safely, and comfortably.

What makes us the best way to get from Denver to Copper Mountain? First of all, you will never have to wait once you get to the airport. We will help you reserve a shuttle, rental, or whatever you please. Simply tell us when you are scheduled to arrive and depart and we will have a warm, comfortable shuttle waiting to take you where you need to go. It is that simple!

Since we are a local company we know the area well, making each ride quick and pleasant. If you would like to learn more along the way, just start up a conversation with one of our friendly drivers. They love to tell people all about Denver, Copper Mountain, and the beautiful towns and cities that you will pass in between.

Of course, you could choose a taxi service to bring you all that way . You could even rent a car, but you will quickly discover that having a car isn’t necessary to experiencing everything that Copper Mountain has to offer, plus you will have to drive nearly two hours before reaching your lodging – not exactly a fun start to a vacation.

Why pay more unnecessarily? Explore all outlets and make sure to include fuel costs and liability when looking at rental cars and SUVs. Treat yourself to a shuttle service that will not simply transport you between Denver and Copper Mountain, but does so in a way that puts a smile on your face.
